About the Artist
Agung Juliartha, born as Anak Agung Gede Adiputra Juliartha in 1988, is a young painter from the Ubud region of Bali. Juliartha was a student of I Wayan Sudana and followed his master’s path of Tebasya style paintings but in his own unique way, which largely focused on painting dancers from their village as these dance performances happened almost every two days at a temple north of the village. The paintings focused on the dancer’s singular expressions, carving details and the colours of traditional Balinese artistic style. Agung Juliartha fuses legendary and timeless scenes with a unique concurrent and distinguished approach to character specific aspects. His famous dancer paintings include “Tari Arja”, acrylic on canvas.

The painting is in very good condition. The pigment and canvas appear to be in good condition, free of deformations, holes, tears or creases. Minor scratches are found at some areas.
